Sorry guys, Ive been a MIA for a little while. Ive been packing and gathering materials for my move this week.
Yeah, I know right!! How exciting!! 🤩How crazy is that I get to do exactly what I ever dreamed of! Where do I even begin to start. I feel so many emotions right now that it's crazy. If you haven't ever traveled abroad before I'll try to paint a picture for you. Imagine getting to do something new that you like, you've never seen it, don't know what it is like, you just know everyone tells you it's the experience of a lifetime. Leading up to your trip or on your way there, you cant really sleep well. All you think about is what it will be like. Whats the food like, what is the weather like, what about the people? What about the sights, nature? Its a never ending conversation with yourself about your expectations, but not getting them too high because what if its not as cool as you think, but you cant help but be more optimistic.
For those of you who have been out of the country before its like that feeling of going somewhere new but x10. Not only am I traveling there, but Il be living there for a while.
Each little detail excites me. Yes I am beyond happy that I am playing volleyball and the new culture, but I am also excited that will have to get another drivers license, a working visa, scarfs, new gear and I will also be wearing a different color after wearing orange for the past 11 years of my life 😂. It's the small things I need to remember to cherish and really understand the extent of this opportunity. PLUS, I get to see what the volleyball culture is like in Europe. Volleyball is a bigger sport in Europe and being surrounded around a group that share and understand your love for the sport AND can also relate. That goes for men and women. In the States volleyball is growing for men, but its not quite there yet. I just cant wait to see what the environment is like.🤗
